How does Protherm Thermal work?

Using advanced Glass Microsphere Technology, ProTHERM forms a thermal barrier on cold interior walls & ceilings. The glass microspheres become charged, enabling them to absorb any heat that passes through them, allowing this heat to act as a thermal barrier between cold walls and the warmer temperature within a room. This helps reflect the heat back into the room, rather than escaping through the external wall.

Thermal Insulating Paint

ProTHERM improves the energy efficiency of a property, by helping to retain heat within the building.

To achieve this, the Glass Microsphere Technology holds heat within the wall instead of allowing the heat to escape from the property. This prevention reduces the amount of heating it takes to maintain a warm internal temperature, as the external facing internal walls are no longer cold.

Easy & Convenient

As it can be applied like any other interior emulsion, ProTHERM can be wallpapered or overcoated using any standard decorative emulsion paint. This product also requires minimal preparation when applying.

ProTHERM Interior Thermal Matt allows water vapour to freely escape from inside the property, out of the exterior wall.

Condensation & Mould Reduction

Condensation on ProTHERM treated walls is significantly reduced due to the temperature of interior walls & ceilings being maintained. This makes our product an effective anti-condensation paint.

Reducing condensation will in turn also improve health. Reducing the growth of black mould prevents long-term exposure to harmful spores which can lead to respiratory, skin & immune problems.

Compliance & Testing

ProTHERM’s heat retaining & anti-condensation properties have been independently tested and was found to retain heat 113% longer than standard emulsion paint.

ProTHERM will also assist with compliance of Section 82 (Statutory Nuisance), Chapter 43 of the Environmental Protection Act 1990, the prevention of condensation and mould growth in rented accommodation.
