What is ProPERLA Water Repellent? A one-coat super hydrophobic advanced clear roof tile water proofer for all mineral building surfaces such as clay, concrete, terracotta, natural stone, slate, fibre cement and much more. Offering long-term protection for roofs, this treatment comes with a 10 year manufacturer’s guarantee.

SUPER HYDROPHOBIC

Super hydrophobic surfaces repel water, causing water droplets to form with the ability to slide away from the surface readily, making it extremely difficult to wet material surfaces such as roof tiles.

ProPERLA Water Repellent creates a super hydrophobic surface which prevents moisture penetrating the substrate, keeping the exterior material dry.

FULLY BREATHABLE

Waterproofing treatments that ‘seal’ a surface, also known as roof tile sealer’s, create a waterproof film surrounding each roof tile. If building materials are exposed to just 5% content of damp, it can lower the thermal resistance by up to 50%.

A breathable roof is very important as it will improve the insulation properties of a building. If a roof tile cannot breathe, moisture will build up underneath the surface, leading to irreparable damage.

ProPERLA effectively allows air and moisture to escape and breathe out of any building or property. The product also has Water Repellent benefits from an SD breathability rating of 0.03 (a coating is considered to be breathable if it has an SD value of 0.50).

ProPERLA Water Repellent has undergone independent tests by UKAS certified body Lucideon. This treatment has been proved to meet the following standards:

  • EAD 040287-00-04:2018 – 25 year performance

Similarly, ProPERLA Water Repellent has been tested and certified in accordance with EN1504-2 : 2005, confirming depth of penetration, water absorption, resistance to alkali, drying rate and thermal conductivity.
